Interactive SuperComputing

Partner Solutions

Interactive Supercomputing's mission is to establish Star-P as the de-facto standard software platform for connecting desktop applications to parallel systems. This involves a community of partners to truly leverage all aspects of science, engineering and analytical research and operations.

The Star-P Solution Partner Program is designed to develop strong business relationships with leaders in software, hardware, integration and distribution in order to promote the development and sale of products that benefit our mutual customers. ISC is looking to partner with companies whose products and/or services maximize the productivity of scientists and engineers working on large and complex technical computing problems.

Star-P Solution Partners benefit from a close working relationship with Interactive Supercomputing staff and other channel partners, and the user community benefits from the integration of these products and services with the Star-P platform. The end goal is to deliver the power of parallel computing to a growing user community.

Hardware technologies continue to evolve and are trending towards more cores then increased clock rates. These multi-core systems will require platforms like Star-P in order to yield maximum programming productivity for users. Interactive Supercomputing hardware partners bundle Star-P with hardware systems to deliver turn-key solutions to industry.

Beyond multi-core technology developments, the technical community has also become interested in various acceleration technologies such as GPU's, FPGA's and others. These acceleration technologies require advanced programming knowledge, expertise and time to leverage their computational capability. Although Star-P is not a native development platform for accelerators, its software development kit and application programming interface allows manufacturers of accelerators and developers of specialized libraries that are optimized for these technologies to be integrated into the Star-P platform. Star-P acceleration solutions enable users of VHLL's to offload specific numerical or statistical computations to accelerators without having the knowledge of how to program the accelerator at a low level.

There are a large number of commercial and open source libraries, solvers and algorithms in use by the technical computing community. These codes have been written in low level languages like C, Fortran and others. These codes need to be leveraged in order to maximize results for the technical community. Star-P provides the interface and data distribution mechanisms to leverage these technologies to advance research. ISC's library partners provide Star-P as the platform to leverage commercial and open source libraries to a much broader base of VHLL users.

Beyond hardware technologies and the libraries used in the technical computing market, there is a whole host of technologies that are necessary for high performance systems, clusters and grids to deliver value to industry, government and the research community. Interactive Supercomputing forms relationship with providers of these complementary solutions to ensure Star-P customers maximize their return from their Star-P investment.

Interactive Supercomputing's Solution Partner Program enables value added resellers, independent software vendors, systems integrators and consultants to leverage other products and services offered by the partner to deliver a complete solution to customer needs while maximizing their return on investment.

ISC and our Solution Partners promote and license Star-P to the technical community in order to solve large and complex problems by bridging familiar desktop tools with high performance, parallel systems.
