Security Overview
Interactive Supercomputing has partnered with Tsunamic Technologies, Inc. (TTI) for delivering Star-P On-Demand to the market. TTI follows responsible and reasonable security policies, standards, and guidelines. Upon agreement to the Terms of Service, the Star-P On-Demand customer will be provided with an account ID, password, and instructions on accessing the service. All access to the login server is done via secure shell (SSH) connection through the Internet and uses SSHv2 128bit RSA key-pair authentication. Customers have access to the main login server 24 hours a day 7 days a week except during announced or scheduled down time.
TTI may monitor and log customer activity for inappropriate use or activity, security risks, compliance, and maintenance purposes. Firewalls and intrusion detection are implemented. Audit logs are routinely monitored for potentially malicious activity. System software is updated regularly. All computer equipment and networks are owned and maintained by TTI in a dedicated facility. TTI's server rooms are physically secured and have no external doors or windows.
Customers access the service by logging into a central server using ssh. Customers use a shared file system and shared compute nodes. Access levels, permissions, and file owner and group settings are used to keep customer data isolated. Customers have the option to encrypt sensitive data. TTI also uses Torque (a resource manager) and other customizations to restrict access to compute nodes. TTI does not make back-up copies of customer owned data unless explicitly requested by the customer.
Dedication to our customers is an important and distinguishing characteristic of Interactive Supercomputing and Tsunamic Technologies. Our primary goal is to establish and sustain long-term relationships with our customers. You can rest assured ISC & TTI can provide you with the processing power you need with outstanding service and support.
